All procedures require an initial consultation with your consultant, this is charged at £250.
This appointment gives you the opportunity to discuss your symptoms, treatment options and suitability for surgery directly with one of our specialist eye surgeons. Your consultant will carry out a thorough assessment and explain the most appropriate options, including any benefits, risks and expected outcomes.
You do not need a referral from an optician or GP to book a consultation with us.
*prices can change according to premium lens choice.
Using your Health Insurance
Private medical insurance policies are generally designed to cover treatments for amedical conditions and eye diseases rather than elective vision correction.
Common medical eye conditions typically covered by health insurance include:
-
Cataracts
-
Glaucoma
-
Corneal treatments
-
Retina treatments
-
Macular degeneration
Note: Coverage varies depending on your specific provider, policy tier, and level of excess. We always recommend checking with your insurer before booking treatment.
Sana Private Health is proud to be the preferred provider for cataract surgery for AXA patients across our clinics in Swansea and Bridgend.
